I’m truly grateful to several people and businesses who have supported me in my cycling pursuits.
Green Lizard Cycling: Dave and Beth Meyer, Brad, Bernard, and Clovis
Dave offered bikes for me to test ride. Brad and Bernard have kept my bike in tiptop shape. Clovis fit me to my new bike.
Cannondale: Vaughan O’Brien
Vaughan, Cannondale rep for Green Lizard, arranged for a great bike for me. He’s also supplying Cannondale clothing and a helmet. He gave me great advice about riding any tailwind I get in the Canadian prairie.
East Coast Bicycle Academy: Les Welch
Les believed in me early on and prepared my bike and me for my first trans-US ride in 2015. He hand-built me wheels for my new Cannondale.
Terry: Lisa Wilkes
Lisa provided a beautiful Terry bib short and provided pro discounts on additional gear.
DeSoto Sports: Emilio and Tracy DeSoto
Emilio gave me a personal tour of his small operation in San Diego where DeSoto garments are made in the USA.
Vega provided an ample collection of samples including my favorite protein shake, Vega Choc-O-Lot.
Pedro’s provided an awesome chain pig and pig juice for cleaning my bike chain efficiently. No more Q-Tips doing one link at a time!
Continental sent me a generous supply of spare tires and tubes, even though their tires are so good I may not need any spares!
Shimano provided several chains. I’ll start the mountains of British Columbia with a nice fresh chain! Shimano makes the DI2 shifters that have been a game-changer in my cycling!
Jenna Bythrow is the best! She checked out a tiny knee problem, reassured me it was not structural and could be fixed with stretches, which she taught me.
A new nutrition bar for athletes. Great ingredients. Great taste!
My sincere thanks to all!
